SYMPHONY
Symphony is a 24 yo 18 hand Percheron. I received her from a farrier who owned her as a broodmare and carriage horse. I was told she was trained by Amish, but all I know is that if you have anything in your hand resembling a whip she is terrified. She has since only known positive reinforcement training with her time with us in which she enjoys her time being ridden as a entry level dressage horse and by kids for education! She recently developed arthritic pain and was placed on a daily medication by her vet that has given her great relief. She can often be seen rolling around in the mud, bucking in the field when she is let out to the larger pasture, or getting scratches.
GR"FANCY"ACTION
Fancy is a 25 yo Arabian/Saddlebred cross who Peyton has owned since they were both 9yo. We received her from a elderly couple who had her as their granddaughter went to college and didn't want to ride anymore. She was well cared for but was extremely overweight spending hours out on pasture with no work. We were told she was a jumper but later found out she was actually a barrel racer. We also found out she HATED jumping. Despite the fact that's what Peyton wanted to do, she changed over to doing Dressage as Fancy seemed to enjoy it! They competed together until Fancy was diagnosed with Cushings Disease. Thanks to the dedication of our vet and farrier, she is now pain free and her Cushings is well under control despite almost 10 degrees of coffin bone rotation on all 4 hooves. She now is a great educator on Cushings Disease care and is a great ambassador for the Farm! She still enjoys trail rides, occasional competitions for fun, and bossing around Symphony!
